Devils win NHL Draft Lottery

For just the second time in NHL Draft Lottery history, the number 8 seed has won the lottery to move up 4 spots in the NHL Entry Draft. The Edmonton Oilers, the 30th place team, retains the number 1 overall pick. It is the 4th time in 5 years that the 30th place team has retained the number 1 selection.

So with the draft lottery complete, the first 14 picks in  the draft have been determined. The remaining 16 will be determined with playoff finish. So here are the top 14:

1. Edmonton
2. Colorado
3. Florida
4. New Jersey (won lottery)
5. NY Islanders
6. Ottawa
7. Atlanta
8. Columbus
9. Boston (via Toronto)
10. Minnesota
11. Colorado (via St Louis)
12. Carolina
13. Calgary
14. Dallas

We will continue to add/update the list as teams are eliminated from the playoffs.
