The Hockey News Releases Top 100
The Hockey News' newest issue, expected on newstands early next week, is it's Draft Preview Edition and will have its awaited top 100 list, as well as a quick glimpse into the 2012 draft.
THN enlisted the services of over a dozen NHL scouts in coming up with the list. As usual, there are a few eye poppers, especially when compared to the NHL's Central Scouting list. But Central's list always comes out early so things are bound to change.
THN also has two new names in the top 10 that have not been seen on most lists to date. The top 10 are
1. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
2. Adam Larsson
3. Gabriel Landeskog
4. Sean Couturier
5. Jonathan Huberdeau
6. Ryan Strome
7. Ryan Murphy
8. Sven Bartschi
9. Zack Phillips
10. Dougie Hamilton
Be sure to pick up your copy for the top 100.

Red Line Report: Huberdeau takes over as top QMJHL prospect
While the drumbeat has been slowly building for Huberdeau the past three months, he simply has elevated his game to a level we did not expect to see out of him this year. And we can no longer deny what our gut is telling us: He has passed Sean Couturier as the Quebec League's top prospect. Couturier is in his third full year in the Q and far more physically developed than Huberdeau. Yet Huberdeau, in his second Q season, is the more assertive and aggressive player, and we believe he's performing at a higher level right now than Couturier was at this time last year when he won the Quebec League scoring crown.

OHL's Gabriel Landeskog takes over number one on Central Scouting list.
Landeskog has been my number 1 from the OHL from the beginning, and now, he's tops in Central Scoutings overall rankings released today. Congrats to Gabe ! Let's hope his missing time with his high ankle sprain, which can keep him out until February, won't effect his rankings too much going forward.

ISS Rankings for December
ISS released it's top 30 rankings for December. Here are the top 10
1. Sean Couturier
2. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
3. Adam Larsson
4. Gabriel Landeskog
5. Brandon Saad
6. Ryan Murphy
7. Joel Armia (Assat Finland)
8. Duncan Siemens
9. Ryan Strome
10. Victor Rask
Joel Armia has come out of the blue on the ISS rankings. I am trying to get information on him now.
Its a little different than the Red Line Report Rankings, but the top 6 remain the same, just in a different order, at least in the top 4. It seems to be the consensus all around that Sean Couturier has solidly taken over as the undisputed number 1.
If you'd like to check out the rest of the ISS top 30, check here

Red Line Reports Top 10
Some movement on Red Line Reports top 10 for December, which are pretty much justified at this point.
1. Sean Couturier
2. Gabriel Landeskog
3. Ryan Nugent Hopkins
4. Adam Larsson
5. Brandon Saad
6. Ryan Murphy
7. Dougie Hamilton
8. Ryan Strome
9. Alex Khokhlachev
10.David Musil
Some will question David Musil at number 10, but he really hasn't taken that next step this year. He still has the potential and that may be keeping him afloat right now.
Most will say wow to Adam Larsson at number 4. Hard to say how much of that is Larsson and how much is the overall teriffic play of Gabriel Landeskog. Gabe has met and exceeded expectations while Larsson has slipped just a tad.
Nice to see Ryan Strome move up. Missing is Vladislav Namestnikov who dropped out of the top 10. He is suffering along with his Londond Knights.
Brandon Saad, Ryan Murphy and Dougie Hamilton are holding steady for RLR.

Red Line Report Releases Their November Rankings
So there is more fuel thrown on the fire now with the release of Red Line Reports rankings for November.
1 Sean Couturier
2 Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
3 Gabriel Landeskog
4 Adam Larson
5 Brandon Saad
6 Ryan Murphy
7 Dougie Hamilton
8 David Musil
9 Ryan Strome
10 Vladislav Namestinikov
Glad to see two thins with this list: 1) Ryan Strome in the top ten which he has worked real hard to make. 2) Gabriel Landeskog crack the top three. He's been my favorite to go number 1 from the OHL since the preseason and probably the most ready of any of the top 10 to play in the NHL. Now keep it going Gabe.
