Bulls Acquire Steven Broek

Belleville Bulls Head Coach and General Manager George Burnett announced early Tuesday that the team has acquired left-winger Steven Broek from the Kingston Frontenacs for a 2nd round pick in  the 2011 OHL Priority Selection along
with an additional 5th round pick in 2013.

The sophomore winger is a native of nearby Tweed and returns to Belleville where he played his AAA hockey up through the ranks.

The 6 foot 1, 210Ibs power forward was Kingston's 2nd round (22nd overall) selection in 2009 from the Quinte Red Devils Minor Midget AAA program where he was a teammate of Bulls goaltender Tyson Teichmann.

"Steven is a guy who interested us prior to the 2009 OHL Priority Selection and we're very happy to add him to our core of solid young forwards," said Burnett following the deal. "He's been difficult to acquire but we look forward to having him in the lineup on Wednesday night."
