Barclay Goodrow was involved in a fight with Kitchener Rangers Ben Thompson on Sunday. Goodrow had the fight well under control until Thompson connected dead on with one punch that decked him to the ice and left him almost unconscious on the ice.
Goodrow says that other than the 10 stitches it took to close a gash in his upper lip that he feels fine and that having his helmet stay one with the chin strap fastened tightly may have prevented a concussion.
He will however, have concussion testing down on Tuesday.

Barclay Goodrow
Barclay Goodrow, Brampton Battalion
The big power forward scored 6 goals and 13 assists in 63 games after being drafted 17th overall. He followed that up with 1 goal and 4 assists in 11 playoff games. He played for team Ontario at the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge.
He has high offensive upside as shown by the 67 goals in 71 games for the minor midget York-Simcoe Express.
His foot speed is a problem and he will need to improve it. He has good vision and hockey sense to go with great hands. He will not shy away from the rough game and is as gritty as they come, especially with his size. And he has room to grow, which is why scouts should, and will be paying attention to him throughout the 2010-11 season.
