Vincent Trocheck

Vincent Trocheck - Saginaw Spirit
5'10 - 165 lbs

Trocheck plays like someone who is 4 inches taller and with 40 extra pounds to lug around the ice and into the corners and along the boards. He's a battler and surprisingly, wins a lot of those battles.

He also possesses an offensive touch. In his rookie season, he posted 15 goals and 28 assists in 65 games. And this season, he's already on pace for a 30 goal, 70 point season.

After arriving in Saginaw, he learned that the Spirit owned the rights to Brandon Saad, who he played with in the past, to get him to come to Saginaw. Today, they lead a potent Saginaw offense.

Trocheck is a very good skater with good speed and quickness. He has a very good hockey IQ and plays a smart and very good two way game. He finds open spots on the ice and gets there effectively. He reads plays very well and is a good passer and looks for his teammates. He has a good shot and can get it off in stride. He could be a little more selfish and use it a little more.

He's also not afraid to drop the gloves when he has to, often against much bigger players. And he holds his own too.
