Steven Trojanovic - Windsor Spitfires
6'1 - 195 lbs
The plan was to bring the third round pick from 2009 Trojanovic along slowly this season. But with Cam Fowler still at NHL camp, he's getting a chance.
Trojanovic has good size and average skating and speed. He is strong defensively and adept at standing players up and playing the body. He positions himself well and has a good active stick. He doesn't carry the puck much but is adept and making clearing passes accurately.
Trojanovic has some offensive potential. In 2009/10, playing for the Oakville Blades of the OJHL, he recorded 2 goals and 11 assists in 27 games. He got a callup to Windsor and dressed in 10 games recording 2 assists in limited ice time. So far this preseason and early in the season, he has been getting some powerplay time. With the return of Ryan Ellis from Nashville, and the possible return of Cam Fowler, that ice time will go down and most certainly effect his offensive numbers.
