TSN's preseason top 10 rankings

Bob McKenzie of TSN just released his top 10 preseason rankings based on a survey of NHL scouts. A remarkable 27 players recieved consideration from the scouts as top 10 picks, the most ever in preseason rankings.

It goes to show the depth of the draft where many, not that long ago, were calling it a weak draft. Not to mention, there is a tie at the top with Couturier and Larsson recieving the exact same votes from the scouts.

A couple of surprises though, most notably in the order of OHL prospects. Gabriel Landeskog is the top ranked OHL player and both Scott Harrington and Dougie Hamilton are ranked ahead of Ryan Murphy. Almost as surprising is that 9 of the top 15 are from the OHL.

I am just completing my survey of OHL General Mangers and scouts as to their rankings of the OHL players. Should be interesting to compare the NHL's scouts to the OHL's. I should have the results posted on Thursday, or Friday at the latest.
