Charlie Dodero

Charlie Dodero - Sudbury Wolves
6'1" - 195 lbs

Acquired only yesterday via trade from the Kitchener Rangers, Dodero brings decent size to the team. He uses that size effectively and enjoys the physical game.

The smooth skating defenseman is a good puck carrying defenseman, makes good clean and accurate breakout passes and is pretty good in his own end.

With a late '92 birthdate, Dodero is one of the older players available in the draft, but that doesn't give him any advantage. He will be a project and teams will have to be patient with him. He is very coachable which can lead to success as long as he's willing to keep on working on the things he needs to.

"Charlie gives us some good depth on our blueline" notes Wolves' GM
Blaine Smith.   "He is a competitor and isn't afraid to mix it up.    We
felt that it was important for us to add a competitive player to our
line-up that can help us out for the next two years."    Dodero is the
first American player that the Wolves have acquired in several years.
