Spots 21 to 26 are usually the regular season division winners. Since all 6 won their first round series at minimum two of them will be picking in the 27-30 area.
Nashville and Tampa are the only two non division champions remaining in the playoffs. If Nashville does not make the conference finals, by virtue of having fewer points, they would pick ahead of Anaheim, therefore dropping the Ducks one spot. If Tampa does not make the Conference Finals, they have more points than Anaheim and Nashville so it would not affect them, but have fewer points then Pittsburgh, therefore dropping the Penguins down a spot (The Preds not making it then would drop Pittsburgh down two spots).
