"Fifty-five games is more than an NCAA championship season, so there's a lot to go by," NHL Director of Central Scouting E.J. McGuire told NHL.com. "I don't think his status will be affected one way or another. When a kid gets shut down for the season, it isn't unlike Brett Connolly, so you have to project three years down the road. You can't simply get overlooked because of an injury in one's draft year."
