My 3 Stars for the week ending February 13, 2011

1st star - Ryan Strome - Niagara Ice Dogs. Strome has been in a bit of a scoring slump but is still putting up plenty of points for the Ice Dogs. He helped Niagara to a perfect 3-0-0 record last week notching 7 assists in those contests. His 7 points moved him atop the OHL scoring leaders with 26 goals and 63 assists.

2nd star - Ryan Murphy - Kitchener Rangers. It was a tough road trip for the Rangers later in the week that ended with a 2-1-1 record. Murphy tallied 4 goals and 4 assists to break the 20 goal, 70 point mark and take over the defenseman scoring lead from Ryan Ellis.

3rd star - Mark Scheifele - Barrie Colts. The Colts rookie is quietly having a fantastic year. His 4 assists in 2 games give him 16 goals and 45 assists for 61 points in 54 games on the season which is third best among rookies behind only Sarnia phenom and 2012 draft eligible Nail Yakupov and Windsor sensation and top propsect for 2011 Alex Khokhlachev.
