Spencer Abraham - Brampton Battalion
5'11 - 177 lbs
Abraham is yet another of the OHL's small but offensively gifted defensemen. Somehow passed over until the last round of the OHL Priority Draft, Abraham is versatile and can also play on the wing.
While the Battalion have been hurt by the number of players at NHL camps, Abraham has added some offense in the preseason and early in the regular season as he did for the Halton Hurricanes midgets last season where scored 30 goals and added 55 assists for 85 points in 52 games.
Abraham’s father, Gary, is a physician who has been in charge of the Battalion medical staff since the Ontario Hockey League club’s inaugural season in 1998-99.
Battalion assistant coach Kelly Harper praised Abraham’s flexibility.“He’s a good skater with good offensive instincts and he did a good job.
