Two words: Power Forward. Thomas is underrated in a lot of circles, but not in this observers eyes.
He plays physically and with a mean streak. He's a very good skater that possesses a good shot from any area. He goes hard to the puck and uses his body exceptionally well to protect it. He battles anywhere, along the wall, in the corners and in front of the net.
He has exceptionally soft hands especially in close. He can lift the puck in close with the best of them. And yes, he is willing to drop the gloves.
In 8 games for the Greyhounds last season, he recorded 1 goal with 13 penalty minutes. In 8 games to date this season, he has 3 goals and 3 assists to go along with 17 penalty minutes.
Thomas should garner attention and open eyes the rest of the season.
