Bezruchko was selected by the Peterborough Petes in the 14th round of the 2009 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection draft.
Bezruchko has worked hard made strong strides in his skill development over the last couple of seasons. He has great size and very good mobility. He handles the puck adeptly and uses his size extremely well at shielding the puck. He is capable of creating offense for his team mates. He shows a commitment to two way play and can lean on people along the wall.
Early this season, Bezruchko's fight card and suspension stats are longer than his scoring stats, but it must be tough on a Petes team that has struggled so far in the early going.
