Craig Duininck - Windsor Spitfires
6'1" - 200 lbs
Duininck is more known for his defensive game, but he does have some offensive potential. On a team with offensive defensemen Ryal Ellis and Cam Fowler last season, Duininck played in 57 games and recorded 1 goal and 11 assists. He went pointless in 19 playoff games.
During the 2008/09 season with Detroit Compuware U18 squad, he appeared in 55 games racking up 24 goals and 26 assists. He likes to take care of his own end first and does that well. He is positionally sound with a good stick, uses his size well and is a good skater with a very good shot.
Duininck likes to model his game after Brent Burns saying he plays well defensively and throws in some offence into his game.
With Ryan Ellis being returned to junior, Duininck won't be asked to contribute as much offensively and if Cam Fowler is returned as well, he'll be asked to contribute even less offensively, which will leave him to do what he does best and that's keep the puck out of his own net.
