Zupancic is a true heavyweight who is a solid defenseman. Prior to serving a 2 game suspension for being involved in a mini brawl, Zupancic played in 2 games and has 2 assists and was a plus 6 in those two games.
He may not be an average goal scorer from the back end, but he will rack up plenty of assists. Playing for the Cobourg Cougars of the OJHL, he scored twice and added 20 assists in 53 games.
But it's his defensive game that stands out more. He's very good in front of his own net, wins most battles in the corners and along the boards, positionally strong and has an active stick.
