Adam Nanji

Adam Nanji - Plymouth Whalers
5'11 - 175 lbs

There is no doubt Nanji has the speed, skating ability and pure hockey senses to be a good hockey player in the OHL.

But he was selected in the 9th round, 173rd overall in the Priority Draft. But was that because of his size? Or was it because some people in hockey described him as high maintenance?

Nanji has some offensive ability. Last season with Streetsville of the OJHL, he recorded 9 goals and 8 assists in 38 games. He even had a 2 game stint with the Whalers and registered 1 goal. He has shown flashes of speed and hockey sense. He knows where to go on the ice and when he works hard he makes it look easy.

One thing is for certain, if the offensively challenged Whalers are going to make some noise this season, they will need Nanji to bring his A game every night. Now its up to him to prove some of his critics wrong and show that he is capable of doing it.
