The Barrie Colts are proud to announce that they have acquired forward Aaron Taylor from the Ottawa 67's in exchange for Plymouth's 5th round pick in 2011.
Taylor has yet to play a game in the Ontario Hockey League after spending all of last season with the Thorold Jr. B Blackhawks.  The 5'11" winger scored four goals and 18 points to go along qith 77 penalty minutes in 48 games played.

Belleville Bulls General Manager and Head Coach George Burnett has announced today that the team has traded 18 year-old centreman Alex Aleardi to the Plymouth Whalers for two second round draft picks. The Bulls receive Plymouth's 2nd round pick in 2012 along with their 2nd round pick in 2013.
Aleardi comes off an impressive preseason in Belleville that included a five goal game on September 12th against Oshawa. The speedy centreman recorded 32 points in 42 games last season after coming over in a November deal with Kitchener.
The Farmington Hills, Michigan native will play close to home this season as he joins General Manager Mike Vellucci and the Whalers who open their season September 23rd in Windsor.
