Jenner had an excellent rookie season scoring 19 goals and adding 30 assists in 65 games. Some may be concerned about his minus 22, but that is more reflective of the teams 9th place finish in the eastern conference.
Took him a little time to get adjusted to the OHL speed, but not longer than most. He’s a playmaking center with the ability to put the puck in the net himself. He’s got good size at 6’1” and 190 LBS and still room to grow.
He can play tough hockey and is willing to drop the gloves. He’s a determined kid that can play well on both sides of the puck. Jenner has leadership qualities as seen when he was named captain of Team Canada’s under 18 squad. There are some questions about his skating and his overall speed. If he can improve on that, taking the next step will come easier to him. He has the determination, and the work ethic, so I think he will improve on that for 2010-11.
