Posa has played both offense and defense, which has helped him become a well-rounded player because he combines the toughness of a defensemen and the speed of a power forward.
Posa likes to play a physical game, despite his size.He is very good in shielding the puck along the boards . He plays with intensity and heart, takes great pride in moving the puck up the ice, and puts a priority on winning battles in the defensive zone.
Last season he played in 48 games for the Spits, recording 2 assists on a high powered offensive team that didn't need him to provide offense. This season could be different though. Ryan Ellis has returned from NHL camp, and no word yet on Cam Fowler. If Fowler sticks in the NHL count on Posa to take up some of the slack in his absense. Otherwise, he'll be asked to do what he does best and that's look after his own zone.
